Steve Jobs a decedat!

Steve Jobs, una dintre cele mai emblematice personalităţi din lumea IT, co-fondatorul Apple şi totodată omul care a făcut din compania pe care a condus-o cea mai profitabilă din lume, a decedat ieri - (miercuri, 5 octombrie), la vârsta de 56 de ani.
 

Nefericitul eveniment s-a petrecut la doar o zi după lansarea ultimului telefon Apple - iPhone 4S.

Steve Jobs se confrunta de ani buni cu o boală necruţătoare - cancerul pancreatic, iar la sfârşitul lui august şi-a anunţat demisia din postul de CEO, precizând totuşi că rămâne în consiliul director al companiei.

Tim Cook, succesorul lui Steve la conducerea Apple, a trimis o scrisoare către companie în care a anunţat că "Apple a pierdut un geniu creativ, un vizionar, iar lumea a pierdut un om uimitor":

I have some very sad news to share with all of you. Steve passed away earlier today.

Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.
